Week 5 : Starry Sky,  Photography Awesomsauce Winter Photo Challenge.

Well, it’s been a long week.  It included a holiday and a funeral for our family.

When a loved one passes away, you can’t help but think about your own mortality.

When I stare up into the starry sky, I can’t help but think about eternity.

As we celebrated the legacy of a wonderful woman of God, I can’t help but be thankful and grateful to have known her and been affected directly by her love for the Lord Jesus.

As I look up into the sky at all the brilliance and vastness of the universe, I can’t help but be thankful to know they were created and placed there intentionally by our Creator God.  There’s no other explanation, these things are proof God does exist and that He is in control.

I really thought I would be racing against the clock to hit upload before midnight CST on this blog post, so I didn’t know what I was going to write.   I love how I’m seeing the connections now with what I captured and what has taken place this week.  We had very different plans for this past Thanksgiving.   We thought we would be home instead of making a 1800 mile road trip.  I would have had my tripod if I had stayed home.   But, I wouldn’t have had the wonderful time with family as we celebrated Grandma.  Worth it!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I’m calling this week’s challenge done but going to leave you with a few more shots of the beautiful stars.  Enjoy! 🙂

Camera info : Canon 7D, 24-70L, ISO 200, f2.8,  SS 30 sec, and had to use a table for tripod & remote trigger to eliminate the camera shake!
